Collection, use and disclosure of information

We will only collect personal information from you with your prior knowledge and consent. You can access our website home page and browse our site without disclosing personal information.

• to process and maintain your membership;
• to enable a Membership Renewal notice and other membership reminder notices to be mailed to you each year;
• to enable a copy of the PBA newsletter(s) to be distributed to you, by email;
• to identify you as a current PBA Member at our functions; and,
• on occasion, to promote other services that may be of interest or value to you. This may include information about our own products and services, or the products and services of other organisations, with whom we have developed a community service partnership.

If information is not provided, the PBA may not be able to provide these services.

Our website may contain links to other sites. This privacy policy does not extend beyond this website, and the PBA is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these sites. When linking to other sites from this website, we recommend that you familiarise yourself with the privacy policy of such sites.

The PBA is sole owner of all collected information. We shall not sell, share or rent any information in any way different to the purposes indicated in this statement. PBA will only provide access to membership related information pertaining to the individual named on a single Membership to the Member appearing on that Membership.

We ensure that your personal information will not be disclosed to other institutions and authorities unless we seek your consent or except if required by law or other regulation. However, the Pride Business Association as a public company is required by the Corporations Act 2001 to maintain a register including the name and address of each member of the Association. In accordance with the Corporations Act 2001, the PBA must provide a copy of, or access to, its members’ register to any person who makes such a request.

We will remove your personal information from our system upon a written request from you, or where and when it is no longer required (except where archiving is necessary).

When you visit pba.org.au, our Internet Service Provider makes a record of your visit and logs the following information (metadata):

• your server (IP) address;
• your top level domain name (for example: .com, .gov, .au, .uk, etc.);
• pba.org.au pages you access and any documents you download; and
• the type of browser you are using.

We may use this information to analyse trends, administer the site, track members or visitors’ movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to any personal information.

Notification of changes

If our privacy policy changes, the revised policy will be posted on this website so you are aware of what information we collect and how we use it. We shall handle all personal information according to the privacy policy under which it was collected.
