What better way to begin the new financial year than with sunshine, fresh air, and meaningful conversation?
Today’s PBA Walk and Lunch took us on a stunning harbour-side adventure, winding through the leafy green corridors between Waverton and North Sydney. Guided by the ever-warm and welcoming Shadi Astafanous - stepping in for our usual walk leader Wes Heron - the group met over coffee at Bay Brew Café before heading off into the bushland paths of Balls Head Reserve.

The route was a hidden gem of urban nature. We passed historic sites like HMAS Waterhen and the industrial beauty of The Coal Loader, before taking a peaceful moment in Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden. With the water sparkling beside us and the city skyline in the distance, it was the perfect setting for connection and calm.

From there, we wandered past Luna Park and into Kirribilli before making the final stretch uphill to North Sydney, where we wrapped things up with a casual, chat-filled lunch at RAFI North Sydney. The conversation flowed as easily as the walk, covering everything from business goals to creative side projects and even the best local coffee spots.
Among the walkers today were PBA President Jarrod Lomas and Vice President Ricky Hamilton, joined by a friendly group of members including Adrian Lim, Luke and Jade Nayna, Henry Burgoyne, Peter M, Arthur Dann, Kevin Yap, Richard Hicklin, Peter Vella, and Immy Abdullah.

Whether you're a long-time member or new to the PBA family, these walks are a gentle reminder that success can also be found in quiet garden paths and conversations shared under the shade of a fig tree.
