The Pride Business Association (NSW) is proud to announce the appointment of a new Strategy Director and five additional Board Associates, effective immediately.
These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for the PBA as it continues to grow, diversify, and energise its mission to support LGBTQIA+ businesses and professionals across New South Wales.
Joining the PBA Board are:
Shane Flatman – Strategy Director
Shane brings more than 14 years of experience in the investment fund and technology sector. He currently serves as Strategy & Business Development Director for APAC at Fund Recs. Shane specialises in the creation and promotion of innovative technology designed to meet regulatory demands in the investment fund space. His leadership and industry foresight will be instrumental in guiding the PBA’s long-term strategy.
Henry Burgoyne – Board Associate, Events (Fruits Sydney)
Henry is a skilled property professional with a strong background in real estate services, including sales, leasing, and auctioneering. He holds Auctioneer Accreditation through REINSW and a Certificate IV in Property Services. In addition to his real estate expertise, Henry brings hands-on experience in retail and warehouse management, which enhances his operational insight and client-focused approach. Henry plays a key role in hosting Fruits Sydney, our flagship monthly LGBTQIA+ networking event, bringing energy, warmth, and inclusivity to every gathering.

Ian Ferguson – Board Associate, Marketing
Ian is a senior media executive with over two decades of experience in leading multi-channel news organisations. His expertise spans content development, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and inclusive communication practices. Ian’s deep understanding of Australia’s media landscape will strengthen the PBA’s visibility and marketing presence.
Ludovic Lavergne – Board Associate, Events (Special Events)
Ludovic has over 10 years of experience in financial accounting and currently works as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. He recently coordinated events for the Consulate of France in Sydney and has a strong background in social services and community engagement. Ludovic will contribute to planning and delivering special events that align with the PBA’s mission.
Sue Almeida – Board Associate, Memberships
With over 40 years in management consultancy, Sue specialises in embedding customer and employee experience programs that drive results. A quick learner and critical thinker, Sue will lead efforts to grow and engage the PBA’s diverse and dynamic membership base.
Expanded Role for Alex Tinsley – Board Associate, Events
In addition to his current leadership of the monthly Long Table Breakfast series, Alex Tinsley will now take on an expanded role supporting Rainbow Connections and other PBA special events. His continued commitment to creating inclusive, meaningful spaces for LGBTQIA+ professionals remains invaluable.

PBA President Jarrod Lomas welcomed the new appointments, saying:

All appointments are effective immediately.
